winning the National Mozart Singing Competition in the UK, Susan Legg
has enjoyed a flourishing international career that has taken her to
major concert venues around the world. She is regularly broadcast on
BBC Radio 3 and has recorded Bach arias for Norwegian Radio. Her lyric
mezzo soprano has received praise from the legendary mezzo Christa
Ludwig and her disc of Lutoslawski chamber music for ASV with award-winning pianist Ann Martin-Davis received great acclaim.

EXHIBITION ON SCREEN - THE IMPRESSIONISTS AND THE MAN WHO MADE THEM
ORIGINAL MUSIC BY STEPHEN BAYSTED AND SUSAN LEGG
Composer Professor Stephen Baysted and mezzo/pianist Susan Legg have
collaborated with award-winning documentary film-maker Phil Grabsky to
write four of the musical scores for his Exhibition on Screen films;
Matisse; The Impressionists; Renoir: Revered and Reviled and I, Claude
Monet. Susan will perform some of the original music from three of the
the film scores as well as songs and piano music by Debussy, Ravel,
Satie and Poulenc featured in the films. Stephen will discuss the
compositional process with clips from the films and how the paintings
inspired the music.
There will be a Q&A afterwards.

A hugely enjoyable collaboration in 2015 with composer Laurie
Dunkin-Wedd saw the recording of his musique concrète score Brancusi for solo mezzo and industrial sounds which features on his new CD Lorelei.

Susan began 2014 in Air Studios recording vocal solos for a AAA game which will soon be released.
She also joined the BBC Singers for their first live concert of the year, broadcast on Radio 3.
After a busy oratorio season before Christmas, Susan is looking forward

in February, Verdi's Requiem with
Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra in April and Mendelssohn's St Paul with Sussex Chorus in May.
Susan records with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios
Susan spent a day in September at the historic 'Beatles' Studio 2 in Abbey Road Studios,
recording the vocal solos for a new track with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, in
collaboration with composers Stephen Baysted and Darren Leigh Purkiss for Audio Network
on a forthcoming trailer music album. The track is a powerful epic orchestral and choral work.
